What is more important – an engagement ring or a packaging?
An engagement ring and a proposal are important symbols of love, that is why an appropriate jewelry box can emphasize the uniqueness of this moment. A jewelry box is not only a thing where you can hide the precious treasure, but it also protects it against scratching or damages.


In shops you can find various types of packaging, made of paper, wood, porcelain and other materials. The choice depends on us, our individual will and the type of ring we want to place inside. Such a specific gift requires an appropriate frame, that is why a packaging of engagement rings should fulfill comply certain requirements. First of all, the shape – shops offer variety of shapes: rectangles, squares, ovals, hearts or rose petals. The type we choose depends on the type of the engagement ring – modest one would look good in ornamental box whereas elegant one can be placed in simpler ones. The inner lining is also important when it comes to the box. Silk works best but you can also decide on a packaging with velvet lining.
Shop owners have dilemma whether to place their own logo on the box or not. It’s a difficult question with no good answer. Even though the logo will be associated with this amazing moment, one can feel there’s no need to deprive the gift of the elegance. However, we should remember that it is the engagement ring which is the most important, not its packaging. Whether it is made of ivory or simple cardboard is less important than an object found inside.
