Onyx is a wonderful gem stone which is a type of agate.





Onyx has black and white color, its name derives from a Greek word 'onix' which means a claw. There are also green and white types of these gems. It is extremely rare mineral which is found in Brazil, India or Egypt. The onyx was used to produce seals, now it is used in jewelry as a decorative mineral. It is often equated with the land harvested by farmers.
