Sapphire is often called the lord and master which is connected with the deep belief that it is able to make people happy. It's fair and dark blue color was often compared to ocean depths or woman's eyes. The name sapphire probably derives from an island in the Arabian Sea. The main component of a sapphire is corundum. The most valuable sapphires are cornflower blue, they can be found in Thailand and Burma. Sapphires eliminate bad influence of stars, protect from betrayal and bad luck.
