Sodalite

Added: 2008-08-11 12:20:48

Sodalite is a rare mineral with a beautiful, blue color highly valued in the whole world.

Sodalite contains sodium aluminum silicate with chlorine, it has several shades of blue. The name sodalite derives from soda which is its component and a word 'lithos' which mean 'stone' in Greek. Sodalit crystals are very rare as they appear in volcanic rocks. You can see them in Brazil, Italy or Canada where deposits of sodalite had been found during the stay of an English Princess Patricia, from that time it is called Princess Blue. Sodalite is used by people who have problems with falling asleep as it calms down, frees the mind, helps limit stress and explore the land of sleep. It also helps in learning, it's useful during preparation to important exams when we can't concentrate and barely cope with learning.
