Topaz is a mineral which has plenty of colors. That is why it is a popular jewelry stone used for production of rings, brooches, necklaces and bracelets.

Topaz is a mineral from the group of silicates. It is common which means it can be easily found anywhere in the world. The name topaz derives from a word "topazos" - "search" or "topas" - "fire" which reflects its orange color. It occurs in igneous rocks and is quite common in Brazil, Pakistan, Nigeria, Russia, Czech Republic and Norway. It is also found in Poland near the Izera Mountains or Karkonosze Mountains. Topaz has a special meaning in the Bible as it is mentioned as one of the Aaron's jewels. Apocalypse of John mentions topaz as the ninth jewel of New Jerusalem. This particular stone can have plenty of local names, the name depends on the color: Brazilian ruby, watery sapphire, slaver's diamond, Crimean topaz, royal, Siberian or sherry topaz.
