European cities are full of men, some of them completely ordinary, some of them follow the trends, others neglect fashion totally but there is a group of men who are not afraid to stand out from the crowd, they wear stylish jewelry. Men become more and more interested in baubles once typical for women as times when male jewelry meant a wedding ring and a watch are going by.
According to one American journal men’s jewelry brings 10% profits in jewelry industry. Therefore it’s worth considering whether to launch men’s jewels to the polish market or not. Men in the whole Europe are mostly interested in necklaces, earrings and rings that remind old signet rings. Silver and gold jewelry isn’t designed only for women, so men who feel like wearing jewelry shouldn’t be treated as effeminate creatures.
Men used to wear signet rings, bracelets chains since a long time ago but there is one rule that should obeyed – not to look like a Christmas tree full of ornaments and baubles, modesty is the best advice here. Contrary to women’s jewellery, men’s one should complete the look in a delicate way, be stylish and unique.
Obviously, the most popular jewelry item among men is a wedding ring. It used to be plain and Simple, these days people search for something more, wedding rings should attract attention and reflect their personality. Men tend to choose plain white or yellow gold rings. In the European countries men often choose wedding rings with ornaments, brilliants or small addition. We hope Polish men will follow the trend and jewelers will create even more intricate styles.
So far, men’s wrists were only ornamented with original watches, now it’s high time to change that. Bracelets are more often used by men, the difference is that a woman wants her bracelet to shine whereas a man needs to show his class. European shops offer combination of stainless steel with other metals or gum in one single bracelet. Polish men, on the contrary, choose large silver or gold chains. Jewellers claim that Polish men are too traditional to follow such trends that’s why it would be extremely difficult to encourage them to buy something new. Only young men who want to stand out decide to buy something different e.g. leather straps with small natural stones. This is probably the maximum jewelry polish men can take. However, there’s always a chance that some men want to look differently than all men around them.
When it comes ornamenting neck Poles are hard to beat. There are plenty of Poles who wear simple chains with crosses or medallions or a thong with small pendants. They see nothing extraordinary in wearing jewelry on their necks. They are usually gifted with a chain and a cross for their First Communion.
It is extremely difficult to encourage a polish man to wear earrings since the society perceives them more pitiful than elegant. Elegance definitely means lack of exaggeration and every man should be faithful to himself and live according to his own beliefs. It’s enough to choose a style to follow every day and decide on one jewelry item which would distinguish him from the crowd.
