Christian cross has a symbolic meaning and these symbols are described in the article below. Read it to learn more about

Latin cross as the cross used to be called, was a basis for the Christian cross. At first people rejected to use this symbol because of its connection to crucification of Jesus Christ. In Christian religion it has a symbolic meaning of finding salvation and love of God towards a man. Christian religion used to be primarily connected with the symbol of fish, only after the 3rd age the cross became a symbol of this religion. That was done after Christian religion was accepted as national in the Ancient Rome. The cross was introduced to Christian religion in 322AD by an Egyptian monk called Pachomius. On looking at the cross we usually see only two bars, a vertical and horizontal one, but the Cross carries more complex meaning. The vertical bar is a symbol of the connection between the Earth and Heaven through Jesus Christ arisen, it is a connection between Divine and Human. The horizontal bar is associated with connection of people of the East with people of the West as well as it describes the universal character of something what happened on the cross.
