Ear Piercing

Added: 2008-11-19 14:04:23

Where there's a will there's a way - ear piercing is not as difficult as one may think. However, it is always better to leave it for a specialist. Why? Read the article below.

Wearing large earrings has become very popular quite recently, especially among young girls. Parents tend to pierce ears of younger and younger girls. The tendency of pierced ears spreads from women to men, and men become more willing to pierce various body parts. The procedure should be performed in such places as beauty salons, piercing or tattoo salons. Professional procedure makes it possible to avoid infections, and makes the healing time shorter. When in specialist's hands we can be sure to get minimum pain and complications. The whole procedure lasts only a few seconds while a special tool is used. A stud or an earring is placed in the ear then. All you have to do afterwards is to remove an earring every day and rinse the pierced ear with soap or saline solution so as the stud wouldn't be integrated with your ear. When the wound heals you can wear every earring or stud you want or fancy at the moment. There's also a second way to pierce an ear, more risky. We don't recommend it at all, but some people prefer piercing their ears at home with a niddle. Remember that the risk of getting an infection is extremely high simply because we don't have a special tools which beauticians use. What you need is a niddle 1.1 mm wide. It is advisable to put ice cubes to the ear to anesthize it and place a slice of potato below the ear. This will ensure that the hole is straight, you can now pierce it with a disinfected niddle. The last step is to insert a disinfected earring and making sure it won't heal over. You can also pierce your ear with an earring but this is even more dangerous, easy to hurt and more likely to insert bacteria to the organism. So before piercing ears on your own be ready to face all problems it may carry. It's very easy to be infected with HIV or virus hepatitis C. We strongly believe that our health isn't worth risking. It's alwyas better to pay and be sure that piercing is performed in sterile conditions.
