Mother of Pearl Material

Mother of pearl, also called nacre is a material used for production of jewelry and decorative objects.






Mother or pearl is also known as nacre, it isn't a mineral nor a gemstone but in the jewelry industry it is considered to be one. A pearl develops in really harsh conditions because when a grain of sand gets into a mollusk it produces mucous to reduce the pain. At some point it covers the sand with a layer, the layer develops and gives ground to another one. This creates mother of pearl. In astrology, Cancers are especially exposed to pain and suffering caused by love. Pearls, which are developed in suffering produce beauty and terror at the same time. That is why they are so perfect for people with this star sign. Pearls are said to get attached to people. It is strong and looks healthy, bright and shiny when it's worn, however, left on a shelf or in a box it gets matte and simply looks bad. Pearls are said to bring bad luck to newly married couples so it's not a good idea to give them as a present. Apparently, Cancers can use pearls as wedding accessories.
